I have some and personally I think they suck. They don't do anything to my hair except make my hair static.

Curl the hair! If long hair is resistant to curl, use small rollers and put gel in hair before rolling, leave hair in rollers overnight or, wet the hair and dry it with the rollers in. Otherwise the curl will fall out quickly. The Velcro just makes the hair stick without having to use pins, be carefull rolling long hair it will snarl!! I have hair down to my b--- and use material rollers with a bendy wire inside, they do the job great and not much time, maybe 2 hours. Good Luck.

Velcro rollers come in many sizes. The bigger ones give a straighter look and the smaller ones give large bouncy curls. Practice practice and practice, for flatter straighter look, brush brush brush. For a curlier look brush less.. Try blow drying the hair into shape after it is dry and after you take the rollers out. Experiment with the rollers on wet hair or semi dry hair. Try using the rollers vertical or horizontal on the sides. Roll back on top or make a side part and roll them down from the side part. Be careful and neat because these rollers can get stuck in the hair if you are messy. Make sure the hair is dry before you remove them.

Velcro rollers are really popular right now, but they are used to add volume to hair or smooth out curls and waves that are in hair. Wait until your hair is just damp to the touch and then use them all over the head. I suggest rolling your hair in the early evening and then take them out before you go to bed. Sleeping on the hair will flatten out some of the volume.

Velcro rollers make miracles happen to limp hair!!
You can use any size...the bigger the less curly and more volume. You should start with your "mohawk" area...get a section of hair, comb it, spritz with hairspray or styler, roll in velcro roller, hold in place with a bobby pin. Next, do the sides of your hair with the same technique.
I usually use 8 rollers from my bangs to the back of my neck and i use about 4 on each side...i use all different sizes...bigger in back.
Next, zap each curler with a hairdryer...warm them up then let them cool. I walk around for awhile.
To take out...
get a comb and start with the one at the back of your neck. Unroll it and "tease" the roots a bit then let lay (you can spritz again). Take the next one up and so the same and so on...you should have a full head of bouncy hair if you did it right.

it will be curly if you leave them in for a long time
it will be wavy if you leave them in for about half an hour or so
the bigger the rollers, the bigger the curls
the smaller the rollers, the tigher the curls
for long hair, i'd recommend big just because using small rollers would take a long time. you can mix it up a bit too

I have long frizzy wavy/curly hair and made the mistake of using those and I had bad snarls tangles and basically when we were done fighting the rollers had about as much hair as I did.

i wouldn't advise buying any unless your hair is really easy to tame or curl.
i have very thick longer hair and i bought some and it hasn't done much. they probably would work well if i rolled my hair wet and sat under a hood dryer for 3 hours or something. but who has the time to do that?
