get pine cones and let the kids spray paint them and put glitter on them
READ a book to them every night. My kids love routines..........every night we read, say prayers, and cuddle
LIFETIME of memories;)

I guess there are countless numbers of things you can do with your kids. Just by your question I can tell you are a one-of-a-kind momma with a lot of love for your children. Anything you do with them they will remember. What an awesome question!
P.s. I always loves being on the road with my folks. I learned so much from them and from the road itself. I also remember the quality time I spent with my mother in the emergency room after I did something stupid to hurt myself. I wouldn't advise that one though. Stick to the vacations on the road.

Of all the activities I've done with my children, the most memorable for them has been the times I ran around the house with them, chasing them and just playing like kids.
They always bring that up and they were 5 and 6 when this occurred, they are now 10 and 11.

Do a google search for age appropriate crafts, and have fun buying the supplies and watching them learn something new and exciting.

bake cookies together, decorate the tree, make gingerbread houses. I make one every year with my son - we buy the kit and sometimes I do one and he does one - this year we made one together. Start a little tradition that just you guys do.
