I was adopted in Canada and I would like to locate my birth mother. It has been hard since I was born in Toronto and the adoption was finalized in New York state. I am wondering if any one has had a similar situation and if so have you made any headway? Could you share it with me. Thanks

Hey It's Good to Be King,

This is a first for the cross boarder search. Basically, it amounts to posting in a register in Canada, to see if your birth parents are interested in finding you. Some adoptions are sealed, and others open. You need to figure that one out, if it is sealed the register is the only way you will find out. If it is open, you can apply if you are of age.
