Drinking plenty of water before going to sleep - a lot of the hangover is caused by dehydration. Avoiding that makes the hangover MUCH less unpleasant.
A good meal also helps (before drinking) as it slows down the rate of absorption.

Vitamin B12 is the best to relive and prevent headaches and hangovers. You can take it before you start drinking and when you get home. Alcohol depleats your vitamin stores and causes headaches. You need to take somewhere around 10,000 percent at a time. You cannot over dose on b12, your body will just flush out what is can't use.
Secondly, when drinking vodka, to prevent headaches and hangovers drink the vodka thatis distilled the most times. This means usually the most expensive vodka you can afford.
Vodka has impurities in it have are taken out in the distilling process. The most times it is distilled the less impurities it has.
The impurities are the reason for the headache but not the hangover. Drink vodka that is atleast four times distilled. Simply if you don't want a headache, don't drink well vodka. Look for vodkas that don't have a smell to them, if they smell like rubbing alcohol it probably is.
Examples: (from least expensive to most)
Hood River 2x (don't drink this)basically rubbing alcohol
McCormicks 2x (don't drink this)
Sky 3x (don't drink this)
Bernetts 4x (this is the cheapest for 4x)
Absolut 4x
Three Olives 4x
Belvedere 5x
Grey Goose 6x

you shouldn't drink so much and some things you drink will give you a headache more than others, I find that I cannot drink bud, I get a terrible headache, but not from other beers,
I usually do the aspirin thing, taking a couple aspirin before you drink is supposed to help.
Taking a teaspoon of honey or something high in Glucose the next morning helps balance your system
some people swear by tomato juice or V8

Try this and I PROMISE you'll not get a hangover: Drink plenty of water, then take 500 to 1000mcg of B-12 and ibuprofen or tylenol before you go to sleep. Your body's depletion of B-12 and dehydration are the biggest causes of the hangovers.
I've been using this method for years and it works 99% of the time! Drink up! Happy Holidays!

The best thing you can do is stay hydrated. Periodically drinking a glass of water while you party will accomplish this. Also, before you go to sleep, take two aspirin and drink more water. I have been doing this for years and I have not had any problems the next day.

Chug a huge glass of water before passing out. When you wake up in the night to take a piss, chug another glass of water. Do this all night and you re-hydrate your system.
85% of a hangover is dehydration.
If this fails or you still wake up hungover, Vitamin Water [the purple one REVIVE] is made for hangovers and works wonders. Chug the bottle in the morning and eat something and you're good to go.
Good Luck!
