I personally liked a lot of your pictures. ESPECIALLY the Still, animals, scenery. Now I'm going to be perfectly honest here. Don't take it too offensively because I'm quite a bit like Simon Cowell in the fact that I always think there's room for improvement(and I'm a perfectionist). I think there's a few lighting issues in the stills/animals/scenery. Not all of them. I think that the action photos are great as well, but could be in better focus, and a little closer(I DO realize how hard it is to take live action when you're zooming in, it takes practice). This is probably only because of the type of camera you're using. I realize that really high quality cameras are QUITE expensive, but if you're really passionate about photography it's worth saving for. Then you would end up with the pictures that I know you're trying to take. I see where you're coming from and I think you have A LOT of talent. All the more reason to keep upgrading your equipment as much as possible. In the mean time, consider downloading or purchasing a program for your computer that will fix these problems. Corel Snapfire Plus is a pretty good inexpensive one for those types of issues compared to buying a state of the art camera. I've fixed quite a few pics myself that I would have otherwise gotten rid of. Good luck , and please keep up the good work. Hopefully I'll be able to check out some more of your work soon! :)

Nice angles and perspectives on the action bike shots. The stills and scenery stuff didn't do much for me. The flower vase could be a really interesting pic if it was lit by natural window light... and no flash!! If you use the flash in a situation like that...it will almost always look like a "snapshot". Also, with stills shots....try to come up with interesting angles, and don't be afraid to get in close... some of the most interesting photos are taken closer than 2ft.

I like them too! That "look ma, no feet" one was cool!

But I do have a few constructive suggestions! ;P Hopefully they'll not be taken personally because even though I'm not a pro by any means, I always welcome ANY suggestions to improve my skills.

With the dirt bikes, I would suggest experimenting with different cropping. I did notice some digital noise which can be reduced with photo editing software. I would also suggest sharpening them too.

With the others, I would stay away from the flash as much as possible.

If you have an SLR I would suggest buying The Digital Photography Book by Scott Kelby. This book has taught me a thing or two!

Good luck!

I thought they were amazing! There were a few in the animals that weren't very well lit, but they were still really good. Loved, loved the dirt bikes, great angles-and I don't dig bikes!!

I like what you did in the action section, I think you should focus on it, my favorite one is "doubleup1.jpg". For the scenery one use more vibrant colors because they look too pale and dark.
