I'm thinking of moving my small remodeling business and I'm looking to go where the work is.

Don't think it twice, there's plenty of work in the remodeling business specially in New Orleans, most people prefer small business because big companies charge a bundle, I'm sure you will have work all year around, good luck..☺

Depends on which area of Louisiana you want to move too and what type of remodeling business you have. I'm assuming it carpentry ? Right now, the parts that were hit hard by the hurricanes these past two years, would probably be your best bet. I currently live in/near Calcasieu and Cameron Parish. These areas were hit the hardest and even now, people are still trying to rebuild.
However, I would highly recommend doing a lot of research before you move you business. There are many major companies here that are putting the smaller companiesand self employed workers out of business. They simply can't compete with the bigger companies.

Regarding the other post about New Orleans:
Yeah, people say, go to new orleans, you'll have plenty of work. They don't realize that alot of people have not moved back into their homes or they have no inteniton of rebuiling. And about the small companies. A lot of people would rather go with a big company who has a good reputaion and is well known, then try a smaller one or a self employed person and losr their money.
I'm not trying to sound cynical here, but me and my family live in this area and I've seen what is happening here.
