My skill level was about average and I saved a bunch of money to do it, took me 9 months, just evenings and weekends. Cost back in the mid 1980s was around 1500-2000 dollars. and IIRC I had maybe 50+ hours tt when I got my ticket.

You have to complete a minimum of 40 flight hours to earn your private pilots license. This is divided to 20 hours of instruction and 20 hours solo. The average for a private pilot though is a little higher, 60 hours or so. It depends on your ability to grasp the information, how well you retain it between flight lessons and how often you can take a lesson. Many people have a lesson once a week or more. I have heard of people finishing their license in as little as a month or taking years to finish. It will also depend on weather conditions being good for each scheduled lesson and the availability of the aircraft/instructor.

Well it depends....if you have time and money
it will be less than 30 days..to learn, and also if weather permits....

6 months, but it takes about a year and a half so you know what to do in case of an emergency
