Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT use any OTC medications!!

First, you need to treat the home and the Momma dog (and any other animals in the home). Use capstar or revolution for the Momma.

With the babies, use a flea comb and water - not anything else!!

You will not get rid of the fleas with just treating the pets and fleas can kill a puppy in no time at all!! Please, call your vet for the flea treatment (for the dog and home) ASAP before the fleas kill the pups.

Give the mom a bath and call the vet. Pick off as many fleas from the pups as you can, change the dog's bedding, and vacuum often. Don't forget to call the vet.

If you have them in a box or other container use Borax Soap Buds. (washing powder).Sprinkle a little in the box. it will not hurt the Mama dog or the puppies. As fleas fall off and jump around in box, container or blanket, they get into the borax. Borax dries the fleas up, killing them. It is not poison to the dogs. If fleas are in your house in carpet, do the same thing. It dries them up, they do not reproduce, it kills new fleas real fast. Borax does not hurt aminals or humans.

a puppy that young can't have medicine SO
#1 give your pup a bath
#2 bomb your house for fleas
#3 spray your yard for fleas
#4 when it becomes old enough then I've found that spraying your dog with liquid flea/tick killer is more effective that collars.

Good luck, yo.

You can use a mild soap detergent like Dawn. It is very gentle and will not harm them that young, as for hte mother, you need to ask your vet which (if any) medications you can use on her. Most flea products are not safe for the mother while nursing.

What about Avon's Skin So Soft and a flea comb? I've heard of people using that on their pets. And it's safe. Check with your vet.

Call your vet because if the fleas get too bad it could kill em and we wouldnt want that. They will have something for them or be able to reccomend something. Beings there so little you dont want to over treat them so just call and ask your vet.

talk to your vet immediately. Pups that little can grow anemic from the blood loss and die. There really isn't much out there safe on the market to put on them. CALL THE VET
