a child will go when they are ready...dragging him is only scaring him. do not scold the child if they dont go but do give small rewards if they do.. A sticker or a piece of candy things like that. This worked with all 4 of mine, I didnt force any of them and they were all potty trained by 2 1/2..

He will be potty trained when he wants to be. He will let you know when he is. Don't push it, or it will just drag out longer. My daughter is 3 1/2 and wets the bed. I am still trying to get her not to do that. Maybe he is still a lil young. All kids are different. When he is ready he will show interest. But don't push it.
Good luck.

We use cloth diapers, so the kid actually feels wet (thus uncomfortable). But I know most folks aren't into that.
Stick the potty in the living room and the kid can sit on it and not feel like it's a big deal. Just leave it in the room and it won't be such a big deal for the kid. And of course, bribery works well. Give treats and celebrate if/when they actually use the potty.

Do you have a child converter for the big potty? Sometimes the kids are afraid they are going to fall in. The other thing is to get him out of diapers so he knows when he is wet. Read to him while he is on the pot sometimes helps.

Bribe him with candy and put fruit loops in the potty and let him try to hit the targets. Make a game out of it worked with my son in a couple of days!! Don't give up it will just confuse him and he will think you are not serious therefore he will not be serious.
Good luck and Happy Holidays

I agree that you need to wait until they show interest. But throw cheerios in the toilet so he can make a game of "target practice" and when you are around the house put him in regular underwear so he can feel when he goes so he won't like it and realize that he needs to use the potty.

Maybe he is not ready to use the potty. Maybe you are more ready for him to use the potty, than he is.
I think as parents we tend to think we have the right to decide when our children are ready to be trained. But in all reality, our children are going to decide when they want to be potty trained.
You don't want to force him.
