To the other answer you got: No it's not Christians that believe nonsencical things, it's people who claim to be christians but are not. The word "Christian" means Christ-like so if people are saying things that don't make sence, they are not christ-like hence they are not Christian. So next time a "Christian" says something totally wrong, don't think "Christians are wierd" think "you're not a Christian." But to answer your question, Jesus came to earth to teach us the truth about God and to die as a ransom. The Jews are the ones that killed him because they thought he was a false prophet, but as he died the sky turned black and the earth shook and then they relized that he really was the son of God. They were afraid to admit to killing the massiah, so they just lived in denial. Now they still act like Jesus never came. that's why they don't read the second half of the Bible, because it's all about what happened when Jesus came and afterward. So Jesus already fulfilled the prophecies and moved on to the next.

Well the jews were gods chosen people and they would not accept him so he turned to the gentiles and we are grafted in Jews.......I think the Jews are still looking for the messiah, they don,t believe he has came yet....So this is what i think,I feel like the jews will have to go through the great tribulation before they will believe..Our time as christians will be up when the Lord returns to carry home his church, but the Jews will get a second chance.....In Revelations it speaks of 144 thousand souls that were procecuted and died for their faith and I believe that those souls they are talking about under the alter are the Jews...I also believe that they will have to go through the tribulation before they will believe....I know people always talk about the Jews ,but they are gods chosen people and therefore I am careful about speaking bad of them...Our Lord was born a jew....

The Bible says that because Israel rejected the Messiah when He came, God closed their minds to where they can't understand that Christ is the Messiah. Then He offered the gospel to the Gentiles. When the last Gentile that is willing to accept Christ has done so, the time of the Gentiles will be over and God will open the minds of the Jews where they can understand that Christ was the Messiah. God will have 144,000 Jewish witnesses to spread the gospel to all of Israel. Prophecy says that the number saved during this time will be a multitude. Jews originally came to God through the covenant with Abraham and by following the Mosaic Law. The Gentiles come to God through His grace. God will open the eyes of the Jews and through His grace in doing so, the Jews will enter the kingdom by grace just as the Gentiles.

I dunno that they will.
But assuming they do. It would be because they mis-interpreted the messianic prophecies. e.g, if they wanted a battle victory, rather than a death victory. When Jesus comes back there eyes will be opened somehow, to their mis-interpretation (maybe through some amazing act of glorious-ness, and magical-ness),
If buddha kinda floated down in front of me and told me to change my ways, I would probably become a buddhist ( I know that probably shows a complete lack of understanding of the Buddhist faith, and is probably spelt wrong, but just as an example.)

the main reason why Jews did not accept Jesus in the first place was because He did not set up his kingdom here on earth. when he returns He will.

Zechariah 12:10 “Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on the family of David and on the people of Jerusalem. They will look on me whom they have pierced and mourn for him as for an only son. They will grieve bitterly for him as for a firstborn son who has died.

Good question,

When Jesus returns it will be too late for those who do not believe and for those who believe He was just a prophet. Now is the time to believe and repent of your ways - when it is too late, it is too late forever.

JUST FYI - KINGDOM = CHURCH

HE DID SET UP HIS KINGDOM OR ELSE HE FAILED - YOU GOING TO CALL JESUS A FAILURE?
