anyone whos says it's not true has not done their research on diet and exercise, yes it is true it makes since muscle and fat are separate, although building muscle does aid fat burning throughout the body it does not take it's place and sits behind the fat and it will bulk you if you built muscle under clumps of fat. This is why some people can lose and burn fat and be lean because their muscle tone was hidden under fat...cardio is the only way to burn fat and lose weight, not lifting weigjts or doing situps...these will only tone you after you have los

I don't know about sit-ups making you look fatter but i think the best to burn fat is to exercise all your body muscles. This would include jogging and swimming where the whole body is involved in exercise. I also think it is wisest to watch what you eat especially because eating healthy helps u avoid intake of alot of calories i would say eat a vegetable in every meal and avoid lots of chocolates and ice cream.

To burn fat sit ups are good and yeah they don't make you look fat. also try to eat more complex carbs than simple carbs. Cut down on your fat intake go for a healthier substitute but maintain a balanced diet.
