well 5/8......I took it down to 4/8 which can be reduced to 1/2 so, 5/8 would just be a little bit over 1/2 a cup. Or you could say the cup is divided into fourths so 5/8 would be halfway between 2/4 and 3/4 of a cup (remember 2/4 would be the same as 1/4)

Is that enough fractions for one night or what :)

Hope this helps.

I would bring it up to 6/8 and divide by 2 which would give you 3/4 of cup. But I would go first with 1/2 cup and slowly add the other quarter.

5/8ths is a little more than half 4/8=1/2. Since there are 8 oz. in a cup it is also equal to 5 oz.

It's a half-a-cup + 2 tablespoons.

2 TBSP = 1/8 cup.

not sure but, I think if you measure out 1/8 of a cup 5 times....you'd have it....I think....because like if you want 2/3s of a cup, you'd measure a 1/3 twice because if you needed 3/3s of a cup, that would equal a whole cup.... 1/3 of a cup measured 3 times....right.....
