They are both as damaging to your hair. But consider chemical treatment (straightening or perm) if you use irons on your hair frequently.

They are both, but I would think that straightening is a lot worse because if you don't get it straight the first time you end up going over that same piece of hair over and over. That's why I recommend a good flat iron like a Chi and a good bottle of heat protectant, preferably oil based so it coats the cuticle and burns off the product before frying your hair. Never flat iron your hair without using product. It will make your hair look all dried out and split at the ends. Good luck !

They can both do damage but straightening is probably worse because your closer to the scalp,you pull the hair and break it in a way that is very damaging. curling isn't so close to you head but still the heat effects you hair

My hairdresser says strightening does more damage because as you are straightening it you are pulling it which causes more breakage then curling which generally does not pull the hair as much.

they probably do about the same amount of damage. they both use heat to change your hair style so that would make sense.

im pretty sure straightening does a lot more dammage because it kind of breaks your hair in a weird way..

depends on what you are using, there are healthier alternatives to both, but usually they are about the same
