Actually there is....they can actually screw this metal device into your leg in two places....cut through the bone in the middle of these two pieces that are attached to eachother with long screws....they then separate the bone (leaves a small space....then as the bone grows and starts to fill in the space....you might then have to have the screws screwed out again...) It is quite the process but I have seen it on tv....but I don't know what it is called. I have seen a person that had a normal mid section, but short limbs have this process.

Yeah they break The bones in the lower leg and insert a "leg jack and the move the jack open a notch every so often. Similar to the type used to heal with a crooked back. takes years though. I don't think you want to wait that long

My boss has brittle bone disease and she has been contemplating having her leg extended. There are only a few hospitals in the u.s that can do it. I belive the one she was going to go to is in Maryland. I am not sure what it is called but I will ask her tomarrow and get back to you if you send me an email. :) Good Luck and Merry christmas.

I have heard of this, but have no means of verifying. I think I heard about someone famous getting it done. It might be possible, but I doubt anyone but the Bill Gates rich could afford it. I would think its a little more complex than breast implants.
