Something comfortable!!!
Don't forget you'll take pictures after graduation, so something you'd want to be photographed in.

If it's a white or light colored gown then you'll want to wear something lightcolored as well underneath. You definitely want to wear something comfortable and seasonable for the situation...it was really really hot when I graduated so I wore shorts and a tee underneath.
If you're going to a fancy gathering afterward you can always take something to change into.

Wear something comfortable and appropriate for after-graduation party that will not show under the hem of your gown, the sleeves and above the collar.

First of all CONGRADULATIONS!!!!!!! You wear what you are wearing to graduations it might be a dress or what you were you planning on wearing to graduations. That iswhat I would wear. No one will know but for the party after. Put on what you feel like then take the gown off and be in what you planned for the party.!!!!!!Have Fun. Good for you Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!

Think about the weather, temperature of the building where the graduation will take place, etc. A dressy pant suit or a simple dress are both fine. Be comfortable. Wear comfortable shoes, especially. You may want to try to wear something "quiet" - no flashy colors, etc.

Wear the kind of clothing you would like to be seen in without the robe. Then, you will fit in with the circumstance.
On the other hand, dress down slightly if it will keep you more comfortable. For example, I didn't wear my suit coat under the robe, but I wore the pressed pants, the shined shoes, the shirt and tie, and black socks, of course.

If you can afford it, its a nice excuse to buy something new! Check the colour of your gown, hood or sash if your college does them, and make sure you don't clash.
Wear something that you might wear out for a nice dinner - nothing overly formal, but something that looks nice, and you feel comfortable and good in.

all depends on what you intend to do after graduation. if your going somewhere with your family you would probably dress up a little. if your going to get together with some friends than you would want something comfy.

in case you're no longer gentle doing it, then do no longer do it. do no longer permit your boyfriend permit you already know what to do. he's your equivalent, no longer your greater suitable. in case you opt to do it, then do it. it won't harm something. They surely are not going to verify below your gown...
