Oh you spoil sport. You are gonna pop the bubble if it gets out.
Have you been reading Richard Dawkins books? Like the newest one The GOD Delusion.
I have and It is number 5 on the best seller lists so maybe in 2007 a few people will become brave enough to come out of the closit about their doubt in the fairy tail of Jesus and all the other stuff.

First of all, I'm not weak and shallow. I follow the truth, and the truth is Islam. I could ask you the same question. Are you so weak to follow the truth? We born, we live, we die? That sounds a bit wasteful. What is the point of it all if all we're going to end up in is death.
I'm not wasting my life, you are. Just because we believe in God, it does not mean that we can't help make life better for everyone, because that is exactly what we are supposed to do while we are alive. So, we're doing that AND worshipping God. Doesn't sound like we're wasting out lives. Sounds like we're grateful for the life which Allah (God) has given us.
Why are you afraid of believing that God exists and that He created you?

Isn't it funny how every time someting the religious people say is true (like the Earth being the centre of the universe) is proved to be wrong they always find and excuse for it. The only thing you need to live a full and happy life is to remember "Be excellent to each other" and "Party on dude!" Religion is just a crutch for sad people who can't accept responsibility. Except for the 1st Church Of The Flying Spaghetti Monster of course. All hail his noodly appendage!

How can you be so sure that there isn't? And even more so, what are you afraid of that would make you lash out at a particular group of people over another? I think you might want to do some research and see who the people are sending their money across the world or better yet sending themselves to the needy to help make the world a better place. Then again, life is what you make if it. If you believe so much that this is all we're given, I would suggest getting out there and help make the "better life for all" that you talk about. Merry Christmas.

As Christians we have to face the truth. About ourselves, the society we live in, how we treat each other, our concepts of justice and equality, and how we react to people that oppose us.
The question I put to you is, if this is how you feel, why eben bother posting the question? Why is it that important to you?
We are quite happy living our lives, confident in our faith. We harm no one (that woukd go against the teaching of Christ and His apostles). Why are you bothered about us?
As far as helping others is concerned, I suggest you go to our Jesus Centres in Coventry, Northampton and the one opening next year in London. You could also see us providing food, drink and a listening ear to people from our double decker buses that can be seen in various parts of the country. Then there are our community houses where many people have found a home and healing for their broken lives, and our kingdom businesses. Some of the people that work for our businesses would probably never be able to find work outside.
By the way, some of my friends met Richard Dawkins in Oxford. I will not repeat what they said, suffice it to say that he appeared far from someone who had all the answers, more like a person grasping any straw he can to bolster his viewpoint.

I am definitely weak and shallow and certainly need a 'crutch,' more than a crutch, when it comes to facing God's wrath for sin. Indeed I am glad God hates sin and will not allow it in His prescence, He would not be perfect if He ignored it.
I think you are incredibly foolish to take all His good gifts but refuse Him. His good gifts show His goodness, would He lie to you ?
Nobody can be so stupid as to really think there is no God, can they ? And do you really think you are not sinful and imperfect ?
I notice your powers of observation are also lamentably weak with regard to the help that Christian people give to others. It far outweighs that of unbelievers.
I am also afraid... for you, when you have to face the truth.

Yeah, I'm religious. We live, we, die. That's the universal human truth.
However, you cannot state, "There is no afterlife," with any certainty, just as I cannot say there is [However based on multiple realities ever present within the joys of quantum physics, as well as a loose interpretation of the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, it is highly probable our mind creates something after the body has died for it to do. Just depends on your flavor.]
And yes, you get more out of a faith by helping others, and your self. Most faiths say that, until the powerful notice how good of a tool faith can be for control.

Ooooooooooooo deep and from the heart eh?
Everybody has the right to believe in what ever they need to believe in. For some it's called faith and they need that faith to get up every day and to get on in this big bad world. In their hearts they truly believe what they have been told or read. Who are we to judge them for their beliefs?
I, on the other hand do not follow any faith or religion. I do however believe in a creator but it's not the God that others follow with his white beard and white frock. I do however truly believe in an afterlife and it's not heaven with the pearly gates and angels.
Who's wrong or right to believe what they believe?
I don't understand how you can say that by following in what people believe they are NOT helping others and NOT making life better for all. Faith helps a lot of people. It can bring sunshine to people that only see dark days ahead of them. It can light the way for the lost but most of all we have no right to take that faith or belief from anyone who wishes to follow it.
Merry Christmas

I thought the whole tenet of Christianity (and most other religions for that matter) was to spend your 'three score years and ten' helping others and making life better for all. Why should it be any skin off your nose if they believe in God?
Truth is how you see it, some belive in God, some believe in Allah Why does it matter to you?

Man kind has always been afraid of death. so some decide that if they believe Therese an after life then it helps them to get on with life even if you can't do some things and have to do things u might not want to. But those who don't need to think Therese an after life are at one with the laws of the universe and are happy to use the time they have rather then do nothing but ***** about what time they haven't.

People feel safe holding onto a truth that makes sense to them. It provides a sense of security. Religion has the power to unite people and give them a sense of belonging. All religion has some beautiful truths captured in the pages of their great books, it just depend how you want to interpret it. To some like yourself it seems like mythical fairy tales, but to others the truth has revealed itself through religion. All of us strive for meaning in life and if people find meaning through their religion, then so be it. You have perhaps found meaning through something else, and if that has led you to becoming a better person serving others and society then I say good for you. Each to their own.
