I just turned 14, and my brother is going on 10. My mom always works so hard for us, and we have never given her anything mroe than a simple card with a drawing. Please do not suggest flowers. Besides flowers, earrings, and clothes, what else can we get her?

maybe you can get her something she can use. like maybe a jewlry box, or a nice purse. nothing expencive or anything if you can't afford it. I saved up for a long time and got my mom a digital camera. I'm sure she won't care what you give her. it's the thought that counts.

This is what i did for my mom when iw as that age:

I got some construction paper and a black marker

I cut the construction paper into 10 pieces.

On each piece I put a favor to her such as " laundry" "dinner" breakfast" "foot rub" "dishes" vacuum" "dusting" "clean up bedroom" "sweep and mop kitchen floor" "snack" "take out trash and check the mail" "make lunch for you and your brother"

She does this stuff everyday....so give her a break and the 10 days after christmas, give her a break of one of these things so she doesn't have to do them.

She will love it!!

Good luck.

As a single mom to twin 13yr old boys, I definitely agree with Super1966. For Christmas last year, they gave me the day off. They cleaned the house, cooked all 3 meals, and allowed me to lounge around in my jammies watching Lifetime movies all day. They didn't argue with each other and they wouldn't even let me answer the phone. They told everyone I was on "vacation" for the day and they would have to take a message! Of all the things my sons have given me, this was by far my absolute favorite. It showed their appreciation for all that I do for them, and it didn't cost them a penny. Their time and attention was priceless. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

I'm 15 and my mom is super hard to buy for as well.
She does so much but when I ask er what she wants for christmas she says nothing.
But she did end up telling me pajamas, gloves, a cookbook, a devotional book, a kettle, a watch, a swiffer sweeper, and a candle.
Thats my mom though. I'm not sure of your mother's interests!
Anyways have a merry christmas!

A locket with a picture of you and your brother in it.

Believe me, if your mom works that hard for you, then she loves you very much... and nothing matters more to a parent that loves their children, than their children.

Candles, bath oils, potpourri... give her a chance to take a nice relaxing bath and some piece and quiet. I'm sure she has a hectic day.
