That depends. Do you have breasts yet? If you do, tell your mother that you're growing breasts now, and if she thinks you should go bra shopping.

ha! i remember being ten. i didnt have to ask my mom for one, she kinda just figured. just go to ur mom and tell her that you need one. unless you dont have anything in the chest area, then maybe u should just get camis until youre in jr. high. once you get into jr. high then its easier to ask your mom for a bra since you change infront or many girls and dont want to have nothing on in that area. i had to ask my mom to get a padded bra when i was 12. that was weird...but its worth it and is only okward for a couple minutes.

No honey, you probably don't need a bra yet. One way to know if you do is to stick a pencil undernieth your breast. If it doesn't stay their on its own, you don't need a bra.
You shouldn't be afraid to talk to your mom about this, because eventually, you will need one. They do make training bra's if they make you feel more comfortable.

Try the pen test.

Lift your breast and place a pen horizontally (cross-ways) under your breast. Release your breast so that the weight of it encompasses the pen.

Does the pen drop?

If so, you do not need a bra.

If not, you should speak to your parents because you should be using a bra.

Don't be afraid to talk to your parents about this...everything you are going through is very normal.

i would think need is not the question i am sure you dont need one but want is another question.. i am sure you want one now this is easy to talk about with your mum... when she ask what you want for christmas tell her you would like a bra... or do it like my little brother did wear your moms......

That's what moms are for. It's sad that you have to ask a bunch of strangers instead of the one person you should be able to convide in and since, afterall, she knows what you look like and we don't.

if u got big ones, definetely, but if it's flat no. u should wear those sports bra kinda things.

Assume you don't.

You don't need a bra until you have a noticable chest and it's uncomfortable to go without.
