Why tie work to drinking, seems you are using work as an excuse to drink.Drink in moderation is okay but if you cant stop after a few(1 or 2)Then you may need professional help.Alcohol is a very addictive habit and may have hold of your life. Will power alone usually is not enough, you must change your whole lifestyle.
Good Luck!

Mix some vodka into some gatorade. This is a good way to disguise the scent of alcohol (vodka doesn't smell as strong as say, whiskey) and as long as you're moderate, you won't get busted! ...and why are you giving up alcohol during on what is one of, if not the most, festive times of the year?
