Since I read that long distance relationships don't really work and that most people find their mate within 5 miles anyway.

Look Mate, when they say "long distance relationship" they mean like another Country, across the country, etc. Don't you have a car? then say about 30 miles would be a nice limit. Unless your in the cities then that's quite a number of people. I'm talking country, low population etc.

Well it will certainly make your life easier to meet someone close by. I met my bf online but he lives 6 hours away and we only met once. We're going to have our 2nd meeting soon. It all depends on how needy you are to physically be with someone. Sometimes it's someone far away who meshes with you the best, if that's the case I say do the long distance thing cause someday you'll find a way to be together for real :) That's the route I am taking!
