I have black hair and I think it's so boring to have the same color of hair and style everyday. I was thinking maybe cutting my hair shoulder-length and put red streaks in? What do you guys think? If you have different opinion then suggest it! Thanks you guys so much. I'm going to the hair salon this Saturday so hurry up and enter your opinion!

i would go for it, except my suggestion is if you're going for that kind of look go with a shorter chunky haircut. and dont listen to people when they say to go blonde, because i know a lot of guys who DONT prefer blonde, and blonde is so overrated, every girl dyes her hair blonde.

Hey, I'm asian with dark brown, almost black hair. I LOVE to put in red highlights. I like it more than I did the blonde ones. It suited better. And the red really goes nicely with the dark hair. And pick a nice bright colour, because even though it LOOKS like it will be really bright, it will come out much darker, since you have naturally dark hair.
Also, because red washes out so easily, remember to buy shampoo and conditioner specifically formulated for red hair(even though the rest of your hair is black).
p.s. I have been complimented many times on my hair. So I KNOW it looks good with the red.

I think a dark red would look good with black hair !! Not red red but a darker shade of red towards a maroon to not have too much contrast. Dont do blonde, everbody does that.

Red and black look good, but unless you get permanent dye it kind of fades and feathers, so your hair is all this maroon color(trust me). if you're going to do it temporarily, just use a surface streak that washes out. like hair mascara or the like. DO NOT try to use temp. color and do streaks without a STREAK color. it does NOT work. you just end up with half colored hair.

Go for it! I get really board with my hair too. I’ve dyed my hair every color but blonde. I think the black and red would look really cool!

No, red and black clash alot.
Although it looks nice when guys have red tips, if they spike.
But not on longer hair.
Maybe a dark drastic red on top,
and underneath it your hair can be black.
I'm not a fan of streaks, Srry.

Don' put red in your hair, it gives you a weird Gothic look. All guys like blonds so if you are wondering choose blond!
