ok so i was with this guy for like 2 weeks. he claimed he liked me in the beginning and suddenly ended it b/c he really was thinking about someone else the ENTIRE time (some girl who cheated on him). the whole time he played it like he was into me and i had no idea he was going to break up just like that.. and i treated him so well i took him places, i called him, got him xmas gifts, i just did so much.. i just feel strange to call him a jerk b/c i mean he couldnt help his feelings, but at the same time he should have made a better choices about the relationship. so would it be right to still be friends with this guy?

you could be his friend but you might feel anger and resentment and things might become very very awkward.

do u want to be friends? thats the real question... because if u do want to b friends then there really is no reason y u shouldnt be... sure he could hav handled the situation better but he is a guy... what do u expect? there is no point losing the friendship also... if u do then the entire relationship was a pointless waste of time... although if being friends with him is just going to make u want him bak then i suggest that u stay aqquatinces until u are completely over him and capable of being friends with him without wanting more... i know these things because i also was in this situation... i choose to be friends with him but i didnt realise that i wasnt completely over him which only caused arguements... but now that im over him he is one of the bestest friends i hav and it was totally worth it... just think about it... do u want him as ur friend? hope this helps... Good luck and God Bless

A 'friend' is someone who thinks of your welfare in any situation (celebrates your accomplishments and consoles you when the chips are down). It sounds like this guy is a really good friend...to himself. Search your feelings. I bet you'll find that what you really want is not friendship; rather, to be romantically connected.

Stay away from the guy and move on.

he "claimed" he liked you. ask him if he ever really DID. if he says no forget him....he didn't care about your feelings at all. if he says yes....ask him what went wrong...but I say hes not worth it

and if you get a new boyfriend but you're still friends with him you might do the same thing he did and think of someone else

To be honest with you it sounds like you were a rebound and that he only used you. He used you to help him realized that he was still in love with the other girl. What a punc.
