Why be HATEFUL??

Question

I need to know WHY. (see add'l details for scenario)

For christmas my parents are buying me a lamborghini. I am 16. My friend says I am lucky. WHY?? I have a porsche, as does she. She says I should be happy. I could care less about getting things for christmas. I would rather have my sister back.(she died last christmas)
What's so special? I would give up my life of lux. to have my sister back.
People tell me that they are jealous. They say how they think I am a bitc.h and when their friends see me later, they say"oh my friend is just jealous".
Why be jealous?? I would trade my life in a minute!!
I am a vegan and after gymnastics practice I help out at my local animal cruelty center. I also give about 5,000 dollars a year to them in donations.
I am also not stuck-up. Why do guys fall for the petite, brown-hair/blue-eyed rich girl who isn't stuck-up?? There are plenty of people prettier than me, and yet guys fall for me. I hate it cuz then my friend gets upset when the guy she likes asks me out.

Why is it people assume a 16yr old with a porsche and lamborghini is rich??
I would rather be a normal girl(maybe even poor) if it meant I could see my sis one last time and tell her I love her.


Would you raise you children to be like me or steer them the other way??

This is all true. I don't want to be rich later in life. I want a normal life for my family. Is that so wrong?? I don't want to have my kids be so sad or unhappy.

Am I wrong to want to be normal?? I hate when my friends complain about their siblings and how much more spoiled they are. I just tell them to be happy they have siblings. Then they shut up.

Ok first off your 16 and kids this age will be mean and jealous no matter what, I sure wouldnt let those type of people get to you.Im sorry to hear about your sister, and wanting her back is a natural thing, my dad died when I was young
I hear you talk alot of what you have and how people are so jealous of you, maybe you should talk less about what you have and why people hate you so much and just be thankful you have what you have. There is no rules stating you have to keep these gifts you say your just so unhappy with, give them to charity since your such a charity given person. And maybe if your so unhappy with this luxury life you say you have and hate, maybe you should tell your parents that you appriciate them wanting to give all this but there is no need for it, that you love them regarless. I personally raise my daughter to be grateful for the things she has and there are people out there who are not so fortunate.

it's like the straight want curly and the curly want straight. People are like that. I'm not super rich, but I did buy my house at 19, and I do have expensive cars. I do not have any help from my family though. The people in my neighborhood don't talk to me because I'm twenty and the rest of them are 35 or older now having children. I have two children. I am slim, and beautiful. They are jealous, but your dad or mom earned their way to the top and they show their wealth. I can only imagine what people think, or that's not her car, or she's on welfare or whatever, the point is to not think about it. If I had a porsche at 16 I'd be safe, it costs a lot of money to repair a car like that. Sometimes I can feel myself not paying attention to the road, and than I realize I could have hit that person. It's scary, don't let anyone pressure you into speeding or drinking. Who cares what people think, it's only opinions. Your Parents have earned the right to have their wealth and spend it on their prized possession, you. Your sister won't come back, but she is with you. Even though my husband's mother isn't with us anymore, I can feel her around him. It's weird and I'm not into that kind of stuff, but just talk to her, she will listen

well, it's cool you're getting a lamborgini for your 16th birthday, but seriously, if you're serious about this, don't care about them! I would think that they'd want to be your friend and "ride" in the car with you, and be using you, but then that would be bad. Better be honest (I think) than taking advantage of someone. Anwyay, good luck and give my condolenses to your family. I'm sure they are affected truly and will be for a while. In the meantine, keep positive!

im so sorry about these terrible anwsers that people have given you, i think that somebody needs counseling here but it is definitly not you. we all have blessings, and tough times in your life, sadly your sister is gone but you will see her again. take heart in the fact that you will be together. my best friend is deliriously rich, but that in no way makes her bad, sadly when people are jealous they become hateful. im sorry about your situation and i wonder with you at how people can have so much spite in their veins, calling you names, and just being hurtful. you cant bring your sister back, so just make the best of what there is in your life, and surround yourself with people that bring you up, and dont tear you down, best of luck, and know that your sister is with you through every tough patch in your life.

Well..it does sound like your pretty rich, but I don't think you're a spoiled brat. It's not really your fault that you are used to getting the things you want. That's just the way you think life is. I'm really sorry to hear about your sister. I wouldn't be worried about whether I get a lamborgini or not.

i'm not sure i understand your question, but about how i'm raising my kids....they are being raised to be respectful to everyone. they are only given rewards for good behavior and punished for bad (no tv, video games, candy, etc). i'm not really sure why people are so rude and inconciderate of others. it might be the way they were raised. not sure this was the answer you were looking for, but it's still an answer.
