Your son most likely suffers from a condition called hyperhydrosis, which simply means that he has over active sweat glands. It is usually not diagnosable until puberty. However it can be diagnosed earlier, for example if his palms are excessively sweaty. It is nothing to worry about, and is treatable. Botox is one of the leading treatments for Hyperhydrosis, but it will be very unlikely that a doctor would prescribe it for your son if he is still pre-pubesent.

Some over the counter anti-perspirants may work, but if it doesn't there are prescription anti-perspirants. Your family physician should be familiar with the condition, and you should have tests ran to make sure that is what it is. There are other medical conditions that a rather rare, and more serious than hyperhydrosis that sweaty palms are a symptom of. Make an appointment with his pediatrician, and he will most likely give you a referral to a dermatologist.

Hope everything turns out well.

Ask your doctor about Botox injections. I know that sounds weird, but they've been shown to be really effective in reducing overactive sweat glands, especially on hands and feet.

Tell him to put a little antiperspirant on them. It works for sweaty feet too!
