im 14. freshman
i dont know wut educational exactly means for a book but she would like these two novels if thats wut u mean-
The Wish the author is Gail Carson Levine.
its an award winning novel and it's actually one of my fav books since i've read it-when i was 11 yrs old.
if she never read it i know she would probably enjoy it or
a book called
Flipped. she'll love it it is by Wendelin Van Draanen
the book will have a little yellow new born chicken in the cover and it's not really about that- the book is good because it's not like any normal books. it switches from the girl's point of view in one chapter and this guy's point of view starting from when the kids were 7yrs old till they were in 8th grade. it's a REALLY funny, sad, and it's just a smart book. its for girls like her im sure

i sure hope this helps and if not an educational boook then i dont know what u mean. =)

I would recommend the Little House on the Prairie series or The American Girl series. Also, Charlotte's Web, which has a great moral message. Also, for kids with a taste for mystery and light horror, you could try the Goosebumps series by RL Stein. There are LOTS of great books for kids out there. You could also check with your local bookstore, they would be happy to recommend something. ANY reading at that age is a good thing, but you don't want to try to force educational text on them. I would suggest encouraging your daughter to read something that will keep her entertained as she's more likely to be interested in it and more likely to keep reading.

Good luck and Merry Christmas.

I always liked "Babysitters Club" when i was that age or "Goosebumps".

But if you are looking for a lil bit of educational...try "Guiness Book of World Records" its very interesting, and may teach her a thing or two. She may even try to outbeat a few ppl, ya never know.

Good Luck.

Any of the Jane Austen books...I bought my daughter the whole set around that age and she has them to this day.

To Kill A Mockingbird...a beloved classic and still a favorite of mine!

Little Women...another classic beloved by generations.

Try Catcher in the Rye. Perfect blend of action, comedy, and the things that matter in life. There is a high content of profane words in there, but it's all in good taste.
