The love of my life broke up with me 1 week before Christmas. I am 6 months into a year’s lease, which means I am stuck to live with her. She now treats me as if I am her brother, as she laughs to her friends how great she feels.

Wow... is all I can say. Is she competely heartless? I would not want to live with her after all that. Are both your names on the lease? If only your name is on the lease, I would suggest to her that it would be best for her to move. If both your names are on the lease, obviously that's harder. Maybe try talking to your landlord and explain .... maye he or she will have a heart and let you break your lease. It's not going to be easy to get over her when she's sitting her *** on the sofa staring at you every night.

My ex and I dated for almost 2 years and we too shared a lease...well, while we lived together he was absolutely miserable and showed it after we broke up, while I was the complete opposite. But as soon as the lease ended and I realized we really weren't together anymore and I'd never see him again, I died inside and it took me another year to get over him. I don't think reality has struck her yet, in the meantime while you mourn your loss, she's in denial about everything and is sure to suffer extreme consequences when you're really gone and at that time you'll have moved on, just like my ex did. God, it hurt so bad!

i am SOOOOOOOOOOOO Sorry for you. she might really feel nothing or she might be pretending . if anything try and find someone to take over your half of the lease. if not see how much of a fine would be attached to breaking the lease. if you still like her and she really has no feelings left then it might b worth not living with her. good luck.

first, you should have thought about living with her and made sure it was commited. [personally i don't think anyone should live with their gf/bf] second if she didn't feel anything for you, or even just didn't feel wut she used to it's better that she did. if she treats you like a brother she doesn't want it to be awkward. just be her friend. you have to get through the lease make the best of it. at least she hasn't bit u'r head off.
