Would that help or add fuel to the fire?

It depends on if you can take constructive criticism. Sometimes, it's just a pissing content though. When you say stuff like "You need to get therapy!!!", that's not very helpful. Usually, people aren't civil enough to give good advice when they are breaking up.

From my point of view, it would add fuel to the fire because afterwards, you would be stressing about what you did wrong and you'll be under your own little black cloud. Trust me.. Been there, done that, and it's not the way to go.

It should help you out. At least you know the reason why they broke up with you so you can learn from the experience and use that in your next relationship.

I like myself just the way I am. I would shrug it off and never attempt to go out with that person again.
