No, it's phony information coming from an earlier book "Holy Blood, Holy Grail". This book's central ideas were debunked a decade ago.

Well, when people think of everything that was told in The Da Vinci Code they immediately resent it without even taking any of it into consideration. I mean...we were not there so who are we to say it was not true or that it was. I would not turn away from this theory and write it off as false just like that because of what I was taught. When you are taught something since the day you were born it is hard to believe otherwise unless you research it on your own.

All I am saying is that it is a possibility that some parts to Mr. Brown's story could actually be true. For anyone to blatantly say it is false is not being honest with his or her self. Do we all agree on the fact that Jesus was a Jew? If we can all agree to that and also agree that Jesus was very religious then we can say that there is a strong possibility that he was married because marriage is an extremely important lifecycle event for Jews depending on what type of Jew you are. Marriage comes after the Bar mitzvah and Bat mitzvah part of their lifecycle.

So yes, I do believe there is a chance Jesus was at least, married.

The Da Vinci Code besmeared a man of true genius. The movie, like the book, was poorly done. There are numerous gospels which did not make it into the Bible for a variety of reasons. The early church debated books for years and eventually came up with a consistent set of tests that would satisfy the various church centers. There are 2 additional NTs - not just a book like Mark, but entire books of various and assorted texts. They show their "non-originality" by the theologizing.
Gnostics - cf. Da Vinci Code have been around a long time. It is so exciting to know something no one else knows - the secret code/handshake/treasure.
I looked forward to the book and then the movie. Both were so inane as to be wearisome.

No Dan Brown admitted it was bogus.

The Priory of Scion is a urban legend no such group exists the list of its members was a fabrication.

The Gospel of Mary Magdalene was found to be a false gospel and was relegated to the gnostic texts as it contradicted directly with the other books of the Bible in which Jesus named Peter via prophecy as the man to take on spreading the word.

no Dan Brown's book was a fictional work stolen from a historical forgery of information published in a book entitled Holy Blood Holy Grail , very silly and only snippets of true historical information are contained in this story

I urge you to go read a translation of the dead sea scrolls written and stored in a cave by Essene Jews nearly 2000 years ago these are the most relevant historical records that exist citing Jewish customs at the time of Christ

After you have read these translation read the new testament particularlly the story of the wedding feast at Canna and tell me what you think , Yes Jesus married yes he had descendants even historical records of the RCC site the Desponyi as a noteable relgious sect as late as 600 AD the Desponyi was a term only deemed on blood relatives of Christ from the side of his mother Mary um i could probaly go for about 6 pages with historical evidence that proves what i'm saying but i'm sure your all capable of reading

No I do not. If you read the Holy Bible you can clearly see that Jesus was not here to get married and have children. His purpose was to serve the people on Earth and then die for them and us so that we may have the chance to one day live for eternity with him. Jesus saved Mary Magdalene from being stoned, but he never married her or more than that slept with her and help create children. This is a very crazy theory. It was an interesting movie, but completely fictional.

Yes of course. DC is a novel but the gnostic scriptures it quotes are real, and they claim Jesus loved Mary Magdalene. Oh, a man loved a woman, how difficult to believe.

Brown was partly correct, about the divinity of Christ, as Jesus was a man and is inferior to his Father but he went overboard with the story of Jesus having a child with Mary Magdalene.

Philippians 2:5 "...Christ Jesus, 6 who, although he was existing in God’s form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God. 7 No, but he emptied himself and took a slave’s form and came to be in the likeness of men. 8 More than that, when he found himself in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient as far as death, yes, death on a torture stake. 9 For this very reason also God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every [other] name, 10 so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground, 11 and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father."

1 Timothy 2:5: “There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man Christ Jesus.”
