Im a college student, and at my college, the only way you get all internet sites is with Internet Exlorer (it has to do with where Explorer puts its cookies). I'm using an intel based Mac with Safari RSS. This limits me to going to all sites on the internet except those that have some sort of e-mail on it. I think that if I instal Internet Explorer on my Mac, it will fix the problem. Only problem s that I cannot find Internet Explorer for the Intel Based Macs. Can anyone else find it? If not, how well does the version for Power PC work on the intel based?
Thanks

and download their browser for mac and when finish go to
http://www.download.com/IE-Tab/3000-11745_4-10470729.html?tag=bestff2_hed

Microsoft has actually discontinued Internet Explorer for Mac, and they did this before Apple's transition to Intel processors, so there's no Intel or Universal version of IE itself. However, as has been mentioned, Firefox has extensions which let it "pretend" to be IE so websites won't put up a fuss. In fact, I believe if you enable the Debug menu (hidden features) in Safari, there's an option to do it there too, under "User Agent".

unfortunately, if some sort of e-mail is derived from MS OUTLOOK, there are few choices. Luckily for you, your mac is an intel mac!

You can bootcamp and get into windows. or you can buy parallels to run OSX & windows at the same time!

from there you can IE all you like... just get some virus protection or just never go out on the Internet using IE.

Outlook based mail really uses the IE proprietary crap that prevents them from running on other browsers even if they pretend to be IE.

There is also an outlook web client that can run in any mac browser, and if you just want your mail, the school may permit you to POP3 in to get your mail.

I've suffered with IE requirements too many times... Now I write websites that prohibit IE (not because I don't like it, but because it just doesn't work right!)

bottom line Bootcamp is free.. get it from apple!

IE for PPC won't work on an Intel Mac.

Have you tried using Firefox or Camino instead of Safari?
