That should be printed on the side of the rice cooker. They vary. White and brown rice/short and long grains have different needs, too. If instructions are not printed on the side, try going to the manufacturer's website and looking up your product there.

the ratio that works well for all rice is 1 cup rice to 2 cups water. But some japanese rices use less water, like 1.75 cups water for every cup of rice.

2 parts water, one part rice if you're cooking it on a stove.
One part water, one part rice for my rice cooker. Yours might be different though, check the manual if 1/1 doesn't work.

! (one) cup of rice, for 2(two) cups of water...... In your caserole dish with a lid....... Place your 2 cups of warm water in your dish bring to boil, add a tad of butter, and salt....... Once water has reached the double boiling point, add your rice....... (If you want more rice, just make 2 cups of rice, and 4 cups of water) Once your water is ready, then add the rice..... stir really good...... Place lid on tight and lower your heat to low....... Dont touch it, at all, for about 20 minutes to 1/2 hour, then give a stir, and check the consistancy, by taking out a small spoonful, then if it taste like its done take off of the heat and serve...... Good-Luck!! The real trick is not to forget to lower your heat, as soon as you've stirred in the rice, and not to check it, until atleast 20 minutes have passed with the lid on, okay....... Have fun & Happy Holidays to you & yours!!!
