which is cheaper...vinyl, wood, or aluminum to use for soffit under a porch? About how much can I expect to pay for materials for a 10' X 30' area? I want to go the cheapest way..but still make it look nice...

aluminum is high right now, vinyl is light weight, easy to handle, and more cheaper than metal. wood would require painting

Vinyl is cheapest. Call home Depot and Lowe's they can vary in price. They can figure it out for you too. Get the kind with holes in it....is this for the ceiling of a porch or for around the bottom of a porch? If it's the bottom I'd use aluminum roofing, it has to be framed but it won't break and crack when weed eating.

considering that soffit doesn't see a lot solar both may be proper it comes right down to what do you opt for to artwork with keep in ideas aluminum can develop into very sharp, vinyl properly you not in any respect hear of too many vinyl cuts do you?. One very last element Vinyl is in many cases more interior your budget.
