No. They do make sanitary napkins and "underwear" for dogs to help solve this problem. You can also use baby diapers (buy one size bigger than your dog's weight) if their tail is bobbed, or little boy's underwear and stick the tail through the fly. Both are less expensive and more effective ways to keep it off the furniture and all.
Just keep an eye on the dog. They will start biting at the diaper/underwear/whatever when they have to potty.
By the way, you really should have her spayed. It not only gets rid of the bleeding problem and unwanted pups, it also helps protect her against cancers and other problems later in her life. If she's old enough for her first heat, she's more than old enough to be spayed!

I have never seen this but they do make something for a female dog's heat cycle. It like this underwear made from leather with a pad in it that has to be changed a few times. I put it on my dogs when they are in heat. It helps. Good Luck.

No, there is not anything like you can use. Here is a little female dog anatomy lesson- Discharge from a heat cycle comes out through her vulva. This is also the exit for her urinary tract. If you place something there, she cannot urinate. I do not mean to gross you out, but it could be very harmfull to her, not to mention very painful and she is really not likely to tolerate it.
If you are not planning to breed, you should get her spayed. No more worries. No heat cycles, no messes, no uterin infections, much less risk of cancers, no accidental breedings, no puppies to worry about....the list goes on and on.
There is absolutely no down side to spaying:-)

No, they don't make tampons for dogs or cats. I guess you could always shove a bunch of cotton balls up there. I don't want to be around when you have to fish them out though. Don't ask Yahoo Answers how to get them out either, because you'll get the same kind of answers you're getting now.

Im not sure about tampons, BUT they do have diapers. Even if it looks funny...its better than getting blood all over your house!

nope...really silly idea there mate..can u actually IMAGINE applying the damm thing let alone keeping it in....*shudder* i believe u can buy doggy sanitary pants but i personally find them rather offensive...if u didnt want a dog that occasionally dripped blood then you shouldnt have got a female...it happens, just clean it off the floor.

No. If you don't want to deal with the blood, have your dog fixed.
