It is a stick with a piece of leather on the end that you hit a horses rump with to get them to listen. Basically a short whip.

A riding crop is a stick with a folded piece of leather at the end. You use is to lightly hit the horse to make it speed up.

There is really no such thing . It should always be called a hunting whip and it is a leather covered or cane stick with a antler horn end to use for opening gates etc and the other end has a thong attached of platted leather about 6 feet and and at the end is a coloures lash with knots the last bit divided with one knot . This last knot makes the noise when it is cracked . This is to keep hounds away from the horses.

^^ ALL correct. nother name is a bat too, those are even shorter than a crop. It's a correction tool for a horse. Usually used for one tap. The leather makes a snap sound. The sound is what effects them more. They really don't hurt (been hit with one before).

it is a short whip that is used to make a horse/pony llisten or go. it is basically an extra leg to hit a horse with.

It's a type of whip you spank your horsey with when you ride him or her. When your horsey has been really naughty or dirty, he/she may even beg for the spanking they deserve. Ride safe, kiddies.
