For the last five years, I have been conducting an experiment to test the Theory that there is No God (creator of the universe and life within this universe). In my experiment the universe is represented by my back yard. Life within this universe is represented by a tool shed (not yet built). I have all the components for a shed, plywood, nails, roofing materials, and 2x4's. In order to prove the theory that there is no need for a designer or architect, there are of course no blueprints or plans for what sort of shed it should be exactly. I had hoped it would be the kind of shed I could keep tools in. As of today, it has been 60 months and the components of this 'shed' have not come together in any measurably significant manner. On the contrary, the plywood is now warping and rotting, the nails are corroded, the roofing material appears stuck together and the 2x4's haven't moved. How much longer should it take to conclude this experiment?

In the meantime, I have purchased a shed from Lowes and had it delivered. The folks at Lowes sent a contractor to construct this other shed (for which there were very specific plans) because it was taking too long for the materials in my experiment to take shape.

Interesting theories! it seems strange that all religions have a god of some sort at the top of their hierarchical ladder. I don't think any religion has a right or wrong answer just a coping strategy for not understanding why we were put on this planet. We could be a mass experiment, maybe we were a DNA extracted from an almost extinct human species (like in Jurassic park), a gene originating from God (an alien life form) and his power is generated by our ignorance. Also life on earth could actually be short compared to GODS time existence, so he is prepared to wait and watch us struggle with the unknown. Religion does seem to be a cover story to stop us finding out and science alone may not help either. We will destroy the planet anyway either through religious wars or science development. Religion is the excuse and science is the means! So if we know our destiny how can we change the outcome of the experiment!!!!

First of all . . . did you go as a God and will the the components to form a shed by your power? Since you are not without sin, the elements will not obey your commands so you will have to use hand tools and actually do the work yourself. Read Genesis again. You will discover the work principle was involved although God is a much higher being and He did not share his blueprint on how to create a world, or a tree or an amoeba. Next read the New Testament. Read about the Savior commanding the tempest to calm. Again, one must be without sin to command the elements and to have them obey.
I would say you have a lifetime of repentance and learning to be Christlike before you can even come close to having the faith to move a sheet of plywood--let alone a mountain. Go in peace and start now.

your experiment has only one flaw that is your injection of hope into the equation - god does not have human emotional qualities, therefore he does not care about a shed being built or what a shed even is or is supposed to do - also, god is not motivated to do anything, that's why we exist --- i believe that the nature of god is conscious nonexistence and all physical/material reality is what god would be if there was a god

The shed is not what you want it to be. It has all the necessary components but it is not what you envisioned. You have proven that God is too lazy to follow a plan. He just threw some materials out there then complained when they did not form themselves into what he wanted them to be.
You could always throw a mad fit like god and go beat on your materials. Make them feel your wrath. That is what the bible says god did to humans.

Give it a few decades.
By then the wood will have rotted and been absorbed into the ground. It will then make its way into plant nutrients that will feed animals and, eventually, the builder who will make your grandchild's shed.

That's the Theleological Argument (i.e., the Argument from Design). It doesn't work. Try again.

I would say your experiment is a smashing success. You have proven absolutely beyond a shadow of a doubt, THAT YOU ARE NOT GOD.
BUT YOU ARE AN IDIOT.
