Suicide bombing is NOT out of desperation. There are many desperate people who do not blow themselves up and then on the other hand there are well-to-do people who are living the good life who have in the past decided that 'martyrdom' (or cowardly killing yourself with innocents) is the way to go. One example I can give is Mohammed Atta, the most famous 9/11 hijacker. He grew up in Egypt went to University and then lived in Germany. He was radicalized in Germany, in the west. He wasn't a desperate poor man just like many of the suicide bombers aren't poor and destitute. The reason behind suicide bombing/hijacking planes or any act where people kill themselves in order to kill others is the ideology that these people are preaching. They are taught that the most glorious people are those that become 'martyrs' and they are taught that they'd get 70 virgins and they are taught the Jews/Americans/Britains are animals who don't have souls.

especially when you take into account their recent history ,
so its difficult not to mention the holocaust, it is a very difficult
subject , I personally cant see any resolutions in the near future.

Right now (as we write) Palestinians are killing their own Muslims who want to better themselves. Palestinians are pissed that Jews are more educated, free, their women are free, and they are smarter when it comes to making money. If I could, I would move all the Jews to Florida. They like the water and are used to the heat. They will never get a break from self-destructive Muslim regime.

as a few answerers have already quoted from the bible suggested that what is happening is okay or the israelis are the victims somehow, i would suggest you refer to the biblical story of how goliath terrorised the jews all those aeons ago. all the palestinians are doing is throwing stones (as david did) or sadly blowing themselves up. to the answerer who suggested that suicide bombing was in some way an equivalent of the israeli heavily armed militia, i would say (a) check your scales as you do not seem to have any concept of balance (b) suicide is always an act of desperation. to the others who suggest that the heavily armed militia be shown compassion, how about extending it to the desperate rather than heavily armed ones eh?

I won't scold you for spelling, but I will scold you for being ignorant.
Israel does have a powerful military, but the Palestianians have suicide bombers. They are willing to kill themselves if they can take 10 innocent Israelis. War is bad, but Israel has the right to defend it's people from evil terrorists.
