At 4 weeks you can start giving them dry puppy food moistened with warm water twice a day. Just put it in a flat dish (like a saucer) and let them eat for about 15 minutes, then give the left overs to the mom. You can also offer them fresh water several times a day. The mom should have them totally weaned when they're about 6 weeks at which time you need to be feeding them 3 times a day, with fresh water available.

Right now, you can feed them small amounts of crushed dry food, mixed with a bit of warm water. However, at 4 weeks, you will still have to keep them with the mom for AT LEAST another 2 weeks, best another 4 weeks. However, you can start introducing small amounts of puppy food.

What you can do, is at the times you wish to feed the puppies their crushed solid food, take the mom out for a walk, so she gets a break from the puppies, and she won't steal their food. Just bring the mom back when the pups are done, or when the walk is over. I'm sure she'll enjoy the free time.

5 to 6 weeks is entirely too early to be completely weaned from mom. Try 7 or 8

You can start weaning them now, and have them fully weaned by 5-6 weeks. I would just take the mother out for longer periods of time, and always have food available for the puppies.

You can start giving them some puppy food soaked in warm water until soft, but they should stay with mama dog until she decides to wean them. You should not sell them before 8 weeks.

you can start to feed them solids now and still nursing on mom but they can nurse til they are 6 weeks. feed dry and some canned 3 times a day while still on mom. only let them nurse for about 5 minutes everytime you let them feed on her. they still need mom but they can now start having solids. but be aware that when you feed them something other than mom they will have loose poops and it is normal for that. it will go away when you feed them more solids. put them on a food that you will not change because if you do you will give then upset stomaches and their tummies won't be used to the foods. i breed golden retrievers and i start to wean at 3 weeks and still on mom but when they are 6 weeks they are off mom and on solids. god luck

Start feeding them a grule - mix with canned puppy food and milk - its good at this age. you might have to actually put some on your finger and rub it on their gums a bit. Make sure all the big pieces are mashed up for them first.
