Absolutely! It is the best way to ensure that you are not completely stressed out on the big day. As for stuffing the bird ahead of time, I never stuff the bird. It's just too great a breeding ground for bacteria. I make the stuffing (or dressing, if you will) and cook it in a separate pan instead.

NO NO NO! I would not suggest it unless you are marinating it in a liquid. As your turkey sits in the fridge, it will be losing liquids in which your turkey will be sitting in. It think it is recommended that poultry be rinsed prior to cooking. I'm not for sure but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
