A concealed gun in Ohio is the same as a concealed gun anywhere in the world. It's a gun that can't be seen. More specifically, a concealed carry permit allows the holder to carry a concealed gun. In Ohio that means that the permit holder may carry a concealed firearm wherever permissable (not in places that have a class D liquor license, no schools, no federal buildings, no businesses that post a no guns allowed sign).
In Ohio a permit holder must carry his firearm in plain sight while traveling in a motor vehicle. This law has recently been amended to allow concealed carry in a vehicle also, but will not take effect for another 80 days or so.

It's always best to go straight to the source. In most states the state police issue CCW permits and are usually more than willing to help you out with any questions you may have. Find out which law-enforcement agency in your area is responsible for this and give them a call or pay them a visit. Unless you encounter a really dumb cop, they would rather you know the law and carry safely.
