I like your question. I think your point are valid.
As you know, during the holidays, there are many family gatherings. It is often the first time that many guys meet their girlfriend's family and parents. It probably is a good time for them to propose so that the entire family can celebrate. Honestly, that's what most grooms tell me and trust me, I'm a wedding professional.

My boyfriend proposed to me last night at my work do. Its nice to get engaged around Christmas. Christmas is a family time and like someone already said, men go all excited and soppy even if they pretend not to be! I wont deny it, the sales on jewellery at Christmas is an advantage and also a reason but its a family time of year and its nice to add another member of the family isnt it! We are getting married at Christmas next year!

Because it is a sentimental time of the year, and already a special occasion, so why not make it more special by proposing? It's very romantic, and people think of log fires, snuggling up together with your loved one etc, I think it is a perfect time of year to get engaged.

I think its because Christmas is a sentimental time of year and bfs go gooey. Its also a great reminder for 10 years down the line that they won't forget your anniversary.

neither reason...its because its easier. Men are such simple creatures. No real thought has to go into making a proposal special at Christmas.

I think its beacause christmas is alot like valentines day everyone is all sorta mushy and happy. well perhaps not some people but most people.. Plus it could be a very good christmas present. :)
