Hi,
You mentioned that your Mom wanted to plant the grapes in the Philipines. Plants that grow in the United States may not survive the tropical climate of the Phillipines. Perhaps up in the mountains of Bagio or someplace.
Anyway, you may wish to contact the Phillipine government equivilant of the Agriculture Department her in the United States to see if there's a type of grape adaptable to the climate of the Phillipines.
I have visited the Phillipines and remember eating a small pale fruit similar to a grape that I really enjoyed.
I wish I had a better answer, but I thought the information might be helpful.

you could get the seeds , just buy some grapes at the grocery store and get the seeds from inside the grapes and plant them. I tried that before and it worked now i have a grape plant in my back yard.
