Hey Answer Man, welcome to the crap women put up with.

No Sawyer, I am not homophobic. I am a gay woman and I'm asking this because I'm honest about my orientation and I always hear people saying they don't approve because their religion says it's wrong, and I'm wondering if that's the only reason, and if it is, why can't more people think for themselves instead of letting their religion do the thinking for them.

YOU TELL EM!!

Damn straight, us women put up with guys hitting on us all the time. So men should have to put up with it (without enjoying it) and if the only way is by having a gay guy hit on them, then i hope it happens

I don't actually hate anybody. Some of my friends are gay. On the other hand, some of the most irritating people I've ever met are also gay. I don't understand why anyone would have a "pride" parade for something they claim they didn't choose, but then Irish Americans do it too.

Sexuality is a massive part of human interaction. Is it any wonder that simple people despise those who would muddy those waters?

Please stop blaming religion for people's shortcomings. Spirituality is something people explore when they want to better themselves. Just because they fail to live up to the standard doesn't mean you should blame them for trying. It's like pouring liquor on a recovering alcoholic because of one relapse.

I think hate is an over-used term. The answer is we really only hate things that are different and we can not associate with.
People shoud try dislike, not as harsh a word as HATE.
You have stated religion is cause of hate, because with religions there are many people and all agree, or you still are one of the neglected. Gays are a minority, but they have more say than most minorities, thats another reason.

I don't HATE gays. they havent done anything to me to make me hate them. I grew up all my life hearing that homosexuality was wrong. It was mostly because of my parents culture and also because of religion. Our religion doesn't teach that you should hate gays. But I was taught that it is wrong. Reasons that I've heard are that God created a man and a woman. Therefore it is wrong to break what God has done. Also gays have AIDS, so homosexuality must be wrong. People also say that it is just plain nasty. Some of my friends have come out and told me they were gay. It really isnt a big deal to me. It was a bit of a surprise but I don't really care.

I like em, I hate what they do, I have worked with them before, I have been in their clubs. the women makeout in the bathroom stalls and I was the only one using the restroom for what it was for. The wican gay women think that being gay makes their magic even more powerful. The gay women look like dysfunctional me and the men are so femmi its too much femininty, just too much and then they try to kiss around you. blah. they try to get you to agree with their way of life and beware if you are a tomboy, they willt ry to tell you, you are really gay. Besides that, youcan keep them as aquaintences.

I do not hate gays, I actually like homosexuals. However, the only reason I may dislike one is because of their attitude, not religion or hate. Gays can be very whiny and beg for attention. Yes, it is unnautral, but gays are regular people. However, it's rude to see gays be open about sexual issues, such as making out in public. Love is rgeat, but that's not love.

Nope, don't hate them at all. I have a couple of male gay friends who are pretty wonderful.
Religion is the reason for all the hatred toward them for centuries. Why they are singled out to be damned forever is not the word of God, but man.

I and the religion I follow disagree with the practice of homosexuality as outlined in scripture.

What is the hangup that many people have on this board about treatment and opinions of homosexuals? (Notice I didn't say gay.)

I am a christian and I like gays. But i'm not gay! I think that gays have a healthier personality, more polite and more honest.

I wish there were more of them on planet Earth. But I could never be gay myself as I don't fancy the idea of sticking my penis up another man's bottom.

Sorry for sounding crude but you know what I mean!
