Would you see a bulge in your lower abdomen, have pain, etc..?

In another words, would you know if you had a hernia or be aware that something is not right?? or do some people have them and not even know it.

I'm not talking about a hiatal hernia.. just hernia in the abdomen.

It feels like something popping without pain at first, than as it progresses, it gets worse. I forgot to mention if you do any lifting then you really feel it. I had a lot of lino to lay so I rolled up a thick gym sock and put it under my belt and tightened it good, then worked for two days putting in the tile. When I went into the surgeons office and undid my belt the thing popped out and almost filled my hand, I passed out, woke up in the hospital everything done. What a way to go.

In general, if it was a serious hernia, yes.

Not always, however.
