I have a crush on my friend and she knows that i do. She and her friends told me that she has a bf who she has NEVER MET IN PERSON BFORE, and she met him in an online game. He lives in the U.S. I gave her a cute little teddy bear for Christmas and she liked it. Today, i gave into peer pressure and i confessed my feelings to her. She just said k and walked away and she also acted a lil weird durin spanish class. I hope i didnt destroy my friendship wit her. Wat should i do?

Congrats on getting that off of your chest, that takes massive guts.

It unfortunately sounds like she doesn't feel the same way. Now that it's in the open, tell her that you can deal w/how you feel, that it's your bane, your cross to bear but that you consider her friendship too strong to throw away. Tell her that you'll not hit on her, etc.

Hmm... well at least your feelings are out for her and now she knows. I think its a little wierd she has a bf who she's never met in person before. I understand a chatroom bf, but if thats the only bf she wants thats a little wierd. Maybe she was acting wierd because she wondered why you liked her, or maybe at one point she felt the same way. Maybe she still does. If she feels uncomfortable at the moment, assure her your still her friend, and your friendship wont go any further unless you both agree.

Give it time, because chances are that she will never met this guy in the U.S...

I would just leave everything the way it is and see what happens. I mean she has a decision to make. Either she wants some guy online that could be a completely different person when she mets him, or she might want you.

Now comes the hardest part; wait and see what happens. The ball is in her court now. I think you did the right thing though. There's nothing to be gained by keeping silent about your true feelings, even to maintain a friendship. Protecting any kind of relationship that exists under false pretenses is meaningless.

Well the best thing you can do right know is wait. Dont put any more prssure on her. Just wait for a few days and if she countnies to act like this then . well move on and find some one who likes u and not some dude form the intrenet. Then maybe she will realize what she has lost.

it needs to sink in, give it some time. My friend did the same thing, and we are still friends, although we never really were more than that. I thought about it but i just dont see him that way. She is probably having mixed feelings. After a week if shes still weird talk to her and tell her that you dont want what you said to hurt your friendship.

You took the first step. Now the ball is in her court. Let it be and see how it plays out. She may not like you that way. whatever you do, don't pressure her for an answer. It you do, she may see you as the weird stalker dude. Just play it cool.

In the US, guys have imaginary Canadian girlfriends. "Sure I have a girlfriend... um... no, you've never met her before... uh... she's from Canada." I think since you're in Canada, the US boyfriend is the same thing, just flipflopped. She totally sent herself that teddy bear, dude.

Telling her your true feelings was a good thing .
She is ignoring you because she is trying to figure out what to do.
You like her and so does the other guy.
Give her time,
And if she really considers you her friend, she will not end the friendship.
