The spots are bruises under the nail. They happen when you hit or bend the nail.

Someone once told me it was from me not drinking enough milk. I am not sure though. I did drink more milk and they did go away but I am not sure if it was real or a coincidence.

usually caused by trauma to the nailbed...and as the damaged part grows in, it appears as white spots

I suggest you drink some milk, my mom worked in a medical center and told me long ago that i wasn't drinking any milk!!!!! :)

i heard it was from ur thyroid gland..i have them too...i drink ALOT ALOT ALOT of milk too...thats where u get lots of ur calcium too..

do you work with chemicals of any such, or have you dealt with any that's what causes it
