Everybody's saying birth control but stay clear of it if anyone in your family has ever had HPV, breast cancer, or a heart disease since it promotes your chance of getting it. Everyone has a cycle period for most its about 20 to 21 days between periods. If you're just getting your period then don't worry, it takes a bit of time to regulate. I was so happy when I got my period at first, it only lasted two days, twice a month but still only two days. Then a year passed and I got stuck on six days once a month. If you're still worried though, go see a doctor.

Well they all say.....every girls different! It really depends on the person. Like i do X-Country and Track and Field so I'm active almost all the time! My period doesn't come very often! Also eat stuff with lots of iron. My doctor said that iron slows periods down a LOT! That means you won't have it as long! It works too! But you have to eat iron like a couple days before. Or everyday if you really feel like it. So it helps and i would really recommend it! I hope my advice helps!

You should really try birth control. It does more than just prevent pregnancy. It helps regulate your periods and makes them less painful and not so heavy. I use Orthro Evra (the patch) and I absolutely love it. I change the patch every Sunday for 3 weeks, then I'm off a week (for my period). Then my period only lasts about 5 days to 6 days. I've been on the patch for almost 3 years, and I've only had one patch, ever, fall off... and I've taken baths, showers, went swimming and even sat naked in a hot tub. You should talk to your OBGYN.

My guess is that your oestrogen and progesterone are very imbalance. That's why your mentrual cycle is upsetted. Go and see a gynaecologist immediately. If not, there may be iron defficiency because of the menustration. The doctor may prescribe you with hormone-replacement therapy. Another possiblity may be you are having a fibroid or cyst. Go see the doctor now.

How old are you exactly? I mean, you spell suggestions with a J, so I think you must be... about 12?

It's okay.
It'll straighten out, most likely, after a year.

If not, you might just have a disorder. They're common.
There are some pills that will be prescribed if you do.

The mood swings stay.
It sucks, but they stay.

There are new drugs available that will drastically reduce the number of days you have your period. If your doctor didn't discuss this option with you, find another one! Good luck!

You should go to your gyn. and she could write you a perscription for birth control pill. Even if you arent having sex this will help regulate your periods and make them much lighter.
