I'm with Emily. "Like" isn't all that many more letters to type out.
It makes you look stupid (you're not the only one that does this); it's best to learn the language and use it properly even if it is SUCH a struggle to type it all out.
Capital letters at the beginning of sentences help, so does punctuation. Unless you're looking for a career in chat rooms...
Stop smacking Yvonne; she'll be more likely to like you.

Just tell her what you feel and to hell with the consequences - if it is a positive response then great - if it is negative, and she is a true friend, then it will not do any harm - and at least you are being honest.
