Go online and copy some of the vows you like. Get a 'feel' for what they're saying.
Go someplace quiet & write for a bit. Write from your heart. Then give it a rest. When you go back to what you've written, you'll probably be able to take bits & pieces from each one to write a truly nice vow. Make sure it is no longet than 30-60 minutes. After that, people beging to think you just like to hear yourself talk. Got more to say? save it for when you're alone.
I do the 'Question of Intent' which is the "Do you take...." part. Then the vows are whatever the couple wants.

First, what kind of a ceremony are you going to have: traditional, semi-traditional, nontraditional, or radical? Have vows that match the type of ceremony.
Second, will the ceremony be religious, some religious tones, or have nothing to do with religion? Have vows that match.
Third, who will be presiding the ceremony? Talk to them and tell them what you want the vows to say and the tone you wish them to have. He (or she) should be of assistance in finding appropriate vows or even in authoring original ones just for your ceremony.
Just remember, the commitment you make to each other on that day is much more important than the words you say to express that commitment.
Congratulations and good luck.

I have done a couple of marriage ceremonies, as I am a Justice of the Peace. I incorporated into the simple ceremony God's definition of love: 1st Corinthians chapter 13, verses 4-5, Love is patient, Love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud, it is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs (NIV). I then ask the couple this question: "now knowing God's definition of Love, do you still want to marry?'' Both couples went ahead and married.

what do you want to say? use your own words. Seek partnership from within and maintain your own identities. Work together without stifling....
