There is no right or wrong dog, it all depends on your lifestyle and personality. Huskies are clever, independent, high-energy escape artists. Do you have several hours to devote to good hard exercise everyday? Do you have a tall sturdy fence that cannot be broken, jumped, or dug under? Are you willing to brush your dog every day (otherwise he'll shed huge balls of fluff everywhere) ? Are you willing to have him groomed professionally to cut down on the moulting? Are you willing to work with him on obedience, and research and adopt an alpha-dog mentality? If you don't, your husky certainly will. Where do you live? If it gets very hot, will you be able to keep the dog inside, or provide a sheltered refuge with cool water at all times?
With any dog breed, you need to research the breed thoroughly. Find out how big it gets, what health problems it has, what it's personality and temperment are, how high its exercise and training needs are, what it's faults are, and what grooming it needs, and decide if you are willing to put that time and energy into that particular breed. If you're not, you need to keep looking until you find a breed you can provide a good home for. Don't get a husky because you want one, and decide you're not up for all the brushing and walking and training- it's not fair to the dog to end up in a home where the owner isn't motivated to give it what it needs.

Huskey's are great dogs but need alot of attention, a bored Huskey is a destructive huskey. When picking out a pup....you don't want an over dominating pup.....the one who picks on the other pups and is the biggest is usually the more dominate one....and you want one that is not cowarding in the corner....try dropping keys or clapping your hands....they are allowed to startle but have to show interest in what startled them....also if the pups have any noticable symptoms that they might be sick......talk to the breeder...she should help you pick out a pup.

If you are fairly active, willing to do a bunch of grooming, can stand a noisy dog (Huskies are a noisy breed), and will not be gone for extremely long period of time, I would say that they would be okay for you. They tend to be an active breed that sheds quite a lot and likes to make noise. Good Luck!
