We all know Islamic doctrines are the most intolerant and Muslims are the most intolerant people in the world. This begs the paradoxical question of whether one is being intolerant by not having tolerance for an intolerant belief system.

The answer of course is NO. Being "tolerant" is not an absolute edict of suicidal pacifism, although many leftists act like it is. Being tolerant is essentially being accepting or non-judgemental of a belief or culture where there is no real or proximate threat.

For example, if I hate homosexual activity, even though there is no immediate threat to me personally as a result of a gay couples conduct, then I am being intolerant.

This uptomizes Islam. Muslims have extreme hate for everything about western culture even though theres no threat. Western music and movies and dress...you can hear them hiss and snarl and pour venom on these subjects ad nasuem...and whats so amazing is that there is no inherent threat to them.

You're right on target with the definition of suicidal pacifism. I live in Seast MI where alot of them live (Dearborn Mi is arab USA) The sad irony is, to feel 'safe' here is to hope the sleeper cells that have not yet awaken in this country will at least not strike this area where so many of 'their own' are. And that's not even a given with this tribe.

You might try reading the writings of Edward Said or Homi Bhabha, who discuss the colonization of Asian cultures by Western foreign powers going back almost 1,500 years.

Islamic cultures do strike me as paranoid to outside influence, but just because they're paranoid doesn't mean Disney and McDonald's isn't plotting to wipe out their 3,000 year old cultures in the name of globalization.

And you might be surprised to learn that the majority of Muslims in the world actually hold moderate-to-liberal ideas about their faith, not the extremism that makes headlines.

When you generalize about people you get some things right, but most things wrong. Here's a new idea: Try saying, 'Live and let live' everytime you think an Islamic person is somewhere hating you. Chances are they aren't thinking about you as much as you might imagine. In fact, they will probably NEVER have a single thought about you, unless you bomb their village or something uncool.

You should read the poetry of an Islamic poet named Rumi, who was mystical and peaceful and wonderful. For me, Rumi eptomizes Islam. I'm not Islamic, and a lot of things about extreme fanatical religion annoy me, too, but I don't want to direct my anger at an innocent group called 'all Muslims.'

Why are you using Islam as a basis for these inane questions? You don't have to point out one religion to make your point. It's the world that can't tolerate the truth not a religion. The world is made up of sinful men. Sin is the problem, not Islam.

You really need to get out of your country and visit some of the people you call the most hateful, instead of sitting at home and typing BS about a couple of ignoramuses youve met in your lifetime.

Islam is hallow from inside even with all the strong and sincere faith, because it lacks common sense. Its waste of time to convey this to muslims or christians, they are already salves to stupid idea.

I think that this is a sweeping statement with regard to Muslims, one person does not make a race.
I would suggest that you look at your own narrow mindedness and stereotypical views before commenting on other failures. People in glass houses......

Get back under your bridge troll. You will find no answers to your hate here. You hate yourself therefore hate everyone else. Don't worry about them like they don't worry about you. They are no threat and never was Saddam.

Believe in the greater good of yourself and you will not tie yourself up in such meaningless arguments as I just have.
