I used to work in a restaurant and they had this manual french fry cutter that looked like a can crusher mounted to the wall. You put the potato in and hold the bowl underneath, pull the lever down and the french fries fall into the bowl. Anyone know what those are called? I want to buy one.

It's called a frech fry cutter. cabellas.com has one like you are talking about that mounts to the wall for $99. Its called Industrial Frech Fry Cutter.

The name that your looking for is mandoline. They can slice and dice and make fries.
